Earlier this month—on March 6, 2020—EASY Software celebrated its 30th anniversary, a saga that’s seen us develop from very humble beginnings to being a truly international brand.
It’s a journey that started way back in 1990, when something called EASY (Electronic Archive Systems GmbH) came together in Düsseldorf. The following year, EASY moved its headquarters to Mülheim an der Ruhr, and began the internal development of the EASY ARCHIVE, a cornerstone of our portfolio right from the beginning, as it was pioneering and still contributes to our success today. In fact, during our thirty years, our product portfolio went with the times: EASY started with local server-based computer programs, has increasingly developed mobile company applications over the past decade, and has recently been moving towards the future in the cloud.
Our next significant milestone was how, in 1996, EASY started developing our first SAP, followed only two years later by the signing of our first international partnership, with Microsoft. 1998 is also when we started the move to public company status, with us going onto the Frankfurt stock exchange in the following year. The fact that nine out of ten of our workforce had bought shares in the company is a testament to the relationship of trust we had established that is still a daily factor in EASY even now.
Since the 1990s, not only has the EASY product portfolio continually expanded, but so has our global footprint. The beginning of the 21st century saw the birth of the Austrian EASY Software GmbH Austria and us here in Britain, EASY Software (UK) PLC. And with the establishment of ever more presence in North America and Asia in 2007, EASY Software products and services are now used literally all around the world.
EASY Software has always been proud of its worldwide partner network and its reputation for competence in the area of digital business process solutions. And despite all these many years of tradition, EASY is still a pioneer; we fully intend to always keep one step ahead of the competition in the age of digitalisation. Here, Experience Management tools that capture the wishes and needs of customers more precisely than ever before, our multi-experience service ApiOmat that combines the entire bandwidth of the EASY portfolio in a single EASY ONE platform are already leading the way. Finally, all our continuing investment in cloud technology is there to ensure maximum flexibility for customers.
I can’t sum up this amazing anniversary other than to say – let’s make the next 30 even better for our customers, partners, and all the members of the EASY employee family. Time for a toast!
