In June, DMCollaborators’ supporter EASY Software held the latest of its very popular Partner Days where it gathers key industry customers for a day of networking, information exchange and fun! We are presenting some of what EASY partners told us there about themselves, working with EASY and the DM market. Here’s what Cheryl Barker, Key Account Manager at DICOM Spigraph had to say.
Who is DICOM/Spigraph Group? Well, we sit between the reseller and the vendor in a very specific market, helping to bridge the gap in terms of knowledge and product expertise between the two.
In other words, we are a Value Added Distributor (VAD): in fact, we are the biggest VAD in the entire EMEA market in the sector we operate in – document capture.
To put that in perspective, we are working with more than 6,000 resellers in over 20 countries right across the region – a mix of hardware vendors, software vendors, service companies. We have about 50% total market share in the sector.
That’s probably not surprising when you realise how important in the market our two ‘parents are’: DICOM itself, but also Spigraph International. And in our DNA, we also have great legacy from firms such as KoFAX which you may also have come across. We’re all really excited about the fact that we have come together like this in terms of the potential it gives us in a really thriving, key market.
What connects a big document capture VAD to a software firm like EASY?
Why are we interested in EASY Software? That goes back to our raison d’etre and what we are trying to do for our partners. There is a whole set of technologies that you need to use in order to get data out of paper and into the organisation, from the hardware and devices that capture it on the hardware side to the sophisticated technology that you need in order to get it from there into the DM systems that the business needs. To make that business information available in the way that businesses want, you need a platform in that scenario like EASY, though we would of course argue that you need all the other stuff too!
But the bottom line is that we want to work with EASY to make all our growing network of partners as profitable as they can possibly be by providing the absolutely fullest range of tools they need so as to grow their business. And EASY, I’m happy to say, is very much a key part of that whole picture.
Cheryl is Key Account Manager at DICOM Spigraph Group, a provider of intelligent scanning, capture and document process solutions: founded in 1991 in Switzerland, the company has grown both organically and through acquisition, the most recent and significant of such moves being the merger with Spigraph in January 2014 that made it the biggest VAD in document capture market in the whole of Europe, the Middle East and Africa
